The time has come that I say something! These last few months have been quite a ride for us... Since our trip in October, we've continued to pray, dream, wrestle with God and each other about what to do. The busy Christmas season came and went, and we felt a weight once the new year came along. We needed to figure out what was holding us back from a decision. We set aside more time for a few weeks to really seek God and listen to Him. I don't think we'll ever forget the Valentine's dinner we had. We came together after our focused time, and it was like we just knew. Not much discussion really, except an occasional "what in the world!!!!?!?!"
Then of course we had some things that tripped us up, making us a bit confused, and setting us back. More praying. Hard. Then it was like it just left. All interest, wondering, what if's. Gone. We look back now knowing God used it to confirm our decision and His direction for us.
So, here we are a few months later... It's taken us some time to feel ready to say we're actually going. But we are! AHH! Yep, you heard it. This slow inch-along process started back in Feb as "we'll move ahead with this, and if we're making a mistake, God will surely let us know." One step after another. We've begun the preparation processes, reading through a bunch of material, setting goals and time lines, talking much with the team that's already there. Can't say the hesitation is completely gone to be honest. And we know Satan's gonna work on us especially hard now. After all, we haven't told our church yet, etc, etc. But simply identifying the enemy at work helps us keep our sight on God.
Now begins the telling of everyone. This is gonna be hard.
I'm comforted to know God has gone before me and will continue to do so. He is faithful, patient, loving, and worthy. All glory to You Lord!
